For Kids Only Afterschool extends our heartfelt gratitude to House Speaker Robert A. DeLeo for his commitment to children and families and tireless efforts to make a difference for the people of Winthrop, Revere and across the entire Commonwealth. 

At FKO and across the early education and afterschool field, educators and families have welcomed the leadership of Speaker DeLeo. He has prioritized high quality education and afterschool programming for every child in Massachusetts and advocated for funding to enhance program quality and address childhood mental health. He made it his mission to stand up for THE workforce – prioritizing professional development and fighting for a living wage. Never one to turn down a call or meeting request, Speaker DeLeo listened with an open heart and never let us down! 

FKO sends a special thank you to Speaker DeLeo for his genuine compassion for children and friendship to the out-of-school-time field.
