Exciting news! FKO is piloting an innovative new initiative to invest in its workforce of part-time, certified group leaders by creating expanded full-time educator positions with extensive, new professional development opportunities!
These staff members are participating in an Out of School Time Certificate program through a partnership with North Shore Community College and will be engaging in weekly community of practices, and working one on one with mentors to enhance their own developmental growth. All certificate courses completed through this program will apply towards the staff member’s associates or bachelor’s degree at no cost to the staff. Work is underway to secure funds to sustain and expand this important initiative over the long-term, and we couldn’t be more proud or excited!
