FKO has compiled a list of resources for families to utilize as needed. This resource list is continuously updated as we receive updated information. In addition, if your child is experiencing anxiety, sadness, or is feeling worried about COVID-19 and you would like to speak to someone, please reach out to your FKO Site Director or Regional Social Worker.

Our staff have developed an Enrichment and Activity Guide that provides lots of fun activities that can be easily done at home, virtual field trips, and tips on how to sustain learning while out of school. This guide will be updated regularly, so check back in a few days for some more ideas!
In addition, we’re posting enrichment videos from our staff in our video archive and Facebook page regularly throughout the day with activity ideas for children and families! Like us on Facebook to follow along!
View Activity Guide For Essential Workers in Our Communities Exempt Emergency Childcare Program
FKO is partnering with the Dept of Early Education and Care and the City of Revere to provide exempt emergency child care at our Revere site, Youth In Motion at 85 Broadway, for essential workers and vulnerable children. This free drop-in program is operating full days Monday through Friday from 6am to 5pm and is designed to be a last resort for families who have exhausted all other options for care. Families must call 617-201-4652 prior to bringing your child to the program to receive approval to attend.

When will school re-open?
On Wednesday, March 25, Governor Baker extended closure of all public schools in the Commonwealth through May 4, 2020.
When will FKO
programs re-open?
Governor
Charlie Baker has issued an emergency
order extending the temporary closure of all non-emergency childcare programs
until May 4 in an effort to prevent the further spread of COVID-19
in the Commonwealth. This applies to all FKO programs. We will continue to keep
families informed as additional information becomes available about our return
to program operations.
Am I still being
charged my parent fee?
No,
FKO has waived all parent fees as of Monday, March 16 and will continue to do
so until programs re-open.
Will these closures affect my EEC voucher, 21st CCLC referral, FKO scholarship or other subsidy?
All subsidies (EEC vouchers, income eligible slots and supportive slots; DESE funded 21st CCLC and ASOST referrals & FKO scholarships) will continue once program operations resume.
When will
registration open for FKO’s summer program?
FKO
leaders are currently working on summer enrollment plans and enrollment
procedures. Stay tuned for updates.
What resources are

Do I qualify for
FKO’s Exempt Emergency Child Care Program?
FKO’s emergency drop-in child
care program is for emergency, back-up, drop-in child care for vulnerable
families and members of essential workforces who have no other option. Parents
and guardians working from home are not eligible for emergency child care.
Likewise, if you are an essential employee but have alternate child care, such
as friends or family, you are not eligible.
