Program Highlights

This week field trips kick-off in all communities! Today FKO Winthrop children in grades 3 and up had a blast at Nahant Beach! Children in grades K-2 had an equally great time back at the program with a visit from Curious Creatures! Stay tuned to see what other FKO communities are up to this week!

Yesterday, FKO children at the South School in Peabody had a ‘splash’ at Artesani Playground Wading Pool and Spray Deck! The weather was perfect for cooling off while making lasting memories with friends!

FKO Winthrop children learned all about the inner workings of fire engines and police cars! We extend our gratitude to the Winthrop Fire Department and Winthrop Police Department!

FKO thanks State Representative Joe McGonagle for sponsoring an Everett Family Field Trip to the Boston Red Sox! It was a great day filled with family and fun!

Teamwork in Everett! Project Adventure always facilitates such amazing activities for kids and this game was no different! Children had to work together to get the ball (egg) from one side to the other and into a bucket (nest!) Children quickly learned that they wouldn’t be able to complete this difficult task without healthy communication!

FKO is extremely grateful for the partnership with Peabody Public Schools. PPS teachers work with FKO children from 9am-12pm three days a week.
