What an amazing day in Revere! Youth In Motion staff hosted a heartwarming Moving on Ceremony for FKO Revere Middle Schoolers.

FKO kicked off the 'Summer of You!’ with the goal of unlocking children's potential and helping them foster their personal identity.

All full-time FKO staff came together for the 2022-2023 School Year Kick Off Meeting. The day focused on new initiatives, enrollment and subsidy procedures, food and safety trainings, and a DCF Mandated Reporter Training.

FKO is piloting an innovative new initiative to invest in its workforce of part-time, certified group leaders by creating expanded full-time educator positions with extensive, new professional development opportunities!

Last Thursday, children and families from FKO Winthrop gathered at the Deane Winthrop House to showcase their architectural buildings and artwork, made from recyclable materials and creativity!

Last week we asked FKO families and staff, “What does afterschool mean to you?” We were overwhelmed by all the responses! Help us shine a light on the impact afterschool programs are making – inspiring learning and supporting the well-being of youth and families nationwide.

FKO Winthrop partnered with Bike Winthrop for their 5th Annual Halloween Bike Parade and Fun Ride at Ingleside Park. FKO Executive Director, Debbie Kneeland Keegan had lots of fun as a judge at the event. It was a great day with over one hundred kids registered!

What an incredible evening! This past Saturday, FKO Revere was honored to attend the Revere Chamber of Commerce’s Gala and Awards Night and receive the Nonprofit of the Year Award! We are extremely appreciative of our amazing community partners – this work would not be possible without so much support!

FKO extends their gratitude to the Everett Citizens Foundation and the City of Everett for their continuous generosity and support. The grant funding received is being put towards scholarships.

FKO Partnered with the City of Peabody and Peabody Main Streets for their Annual Holiday Stroll and Tree Lighting! FKO was excited to host a craft table at the event where children collaborated on a ‘PEACE’ poster.
