Program Information
Youth in Motion is For Kids Only Afterschool's new health and fitness learning center for Revere's children and youth.  Although focusing on the health and nutrition of children and teens, Youth In Motion will follow For Kids Only's traditional daily schedule.  Youth In Motion will feature a virtual exercising room, a health and nutrition cafeteria room, and a resource library.

Site Coordinator: Joseph Anderson
Joe has been employed by FKO for over ten years. Progressing from group leader to site coordinator, he has worked with all grades kindergarten through eighth. He also has served as Youth Peer Leadership Advisor, Common Ground Instructor, and represented FKO at the Directors Round Table Board.  Joe, who attended Salem State College, also completed training in the BEST Initiative program, Youth Leadership, and MA Core Competencies.  He also participated in training offered by MSAC 21st Century, and BOSTnet.  His community service projects include fundraisers for FKO and tsunami relief.  Joe has received the Unsung Hero Award from Representative DeLeo and the 2005 Mass Director of the Year honors from the Massachusetts School Age Coalition.

*Youth in Motion services all Revere children/youth grades 3-8

*Youth In Motion does not transport children from their schools to the program.  However, parents are more than welcome to find their own transportation to bring their child(ren) to the program.
